Has anyone seen my wagon?

Broke paleo in celebration of our athlete's performances and fell so hard off the wagon. The high point of being off the wagon (besides the awesome beer I had last weekend) was I went to Big Boy Gyros today to get my last gross on and the dude is like "Hey, I seen you on the news..." Ha ha! Good stuff.

Not sure how many people actually read my blog but I'm going to put a little more personal content on here.

First of all so proud of all of our athletes, Our team didn't make it to the Games but was super proud of their efforts. I did feel bad that I wasn't as an integral part of their competition training. Bryce took care of them. I just figured it would be best to have 1 coach to focus on them. Then we have our 5 individuals. Many of them didn't do as well as they wanted to but pretty proud of them. Many people think that I have a preferential thing towards Elisabeth and her training. Here's the secret truth... I do.

There are a few of reasons why (this in no way is to take away from her athletic abilities and her ridiculous work ethic):
Elisabeth sought out my help and asked for it. She asked for advice on things and continually gave me feedback afterwards.

She unconditionally did what I asked her to do. I asked her to do 2-a-days, she did 2-a-days. I asked her to rest, she rested. SHE DID DOUBLE UNDERS FOR 53 minutes! Why, because I asked her to.

No disrespect to the other athletes, but she completely trusted me as her coach.

Now the pressure is back on me to get her prepped for the big show.

  3. @Donna, I think I'm actually going to take it to the next level and really do paleo with only 2 cheat meals a week.

@Tery, That is an awesome summary! I almost want to change the name of this blog post to COACHABLE!

  5. Your wagon and my wagon are probably hanging out together with a gallon of Oberweiss! Although I'm back at it these days and continuing a while just to see what happens now....
